Mulberry Bayswater

Yesterday, I bought the amazing, most beautiful, always stylish, forever the best bag in the world! No, not a Birkin .. but a Mulberry Bayswater! It costs an eye watering price of between $1400- $1600 depending on the type of leather you buy! But it is so totally worth every cent. I absolutely love it and immediately, my OCD need to keep it pristine has kicked in- with me keeping it inside the cloth bag it came with every night! I don't have good quality photos from my own iPhone so I've just uploaded the one from Mulberry's website! I just had to dedicate a post to my beautiful new bag- it is the love of my life.. at this point in time!

And what was also super cute was the Valentine's Day 'gift' they gave the customers with each buy- it was a pink and white hard boiled candy around 10-15 cm, long and 2-3 cm thick and had Mulberry and their logo stamped in it. It was not only a nice gesture but also tasted soooo good!
Then as I was looking at their new season advertisement, I realised that they were in the campaign itself- only made 500 times larger for the shoot!
Those giant hard boiled candies handed out as a Valentine's Day complimentary gift, only in a bright pink, an edible size and Mulberry's personalised imprint- logo and brand name

Before they were famous

So I read this article on daily mail  then read a follow up article on harper's bazaar. And it is basically about how the casting agency COACD will be releasing Wild Things- an extensive collection of test shots, shot by Douglas Perrett between 2000- 2010. The collection features some of the most recognisable faces in fashion, captured before the fame.  But I don't think Wild Things is going to be released to the public... or something like that- so this is all we got:

First Impressions: They kept sending her over to hang out. I wasn't sure why, neither was she
First Impressions: Didn't get at first; her hair, her face
First Impressions: Didn't' like her; Found her very Barbie- like
First Impressions: Realized how young these kids are.  She needed a hug that day
First Impressions: We just connected in a nerdy bloggy kind of way; lots of staring and grunting sounds
First Impressions: Her first season, they begged her to do my shows.  Too tall.  She later did Balenciaga that season
First Impressions: Professional, in and out.  Class act
First Impressions: She would always do her castings with her blonde friend, another Aussie who would always get the job.  She never booked the jobs
First Impressions: Upbeat character, she seemed to have her eye on the big picture
Sorry- couldn't find Coco Rocha's First Impressions
Obviously Perrett's "first impressions" about a lot of the models are totally wrong!! Firstly, Abbey Lee is amazing and is one of the most coveted models at the moment. Then, Candice Swanepoel is Victoria Secret's favourite model at the moment and definitely NOT a mere barbie- like face. And Miranda Kerr is one of the most beautiful people in the world!! But they did Liu and Rosie's totally right!! ;)
I want to see the rest of them!! Gah - sometimes I wish I wasn't a part of the "public" haha

Zara trf

What a bold statement print on print makes! It's something I would never do (unless they were less intense prints) But I like to live through my blog and in this case, these Zara models so I can tick print on print off now

Inspiring Designer Packaging

I love it when fashion designers influence other aspects of the world such as the interior design world! Looking at a blogpost by Marcus Design, I loved the brands which had been chosen and the pictures which displayed the translation of fashion into interior decor art!

We will start with, Hermes!

No one just keeps the product inside the box- the packaging itself is as precious as the item inside of it

Next, we have the iconic brand, Chanel

And last but not least, Tiffany & co.

The Tiffany box with the white ribbon is also treasured like the item inside of it
